We believe outdoor spaces should be as solid as they are beautiful. Established in 2019, Square Yards Landscaping is a landscape contractor based in Coquitlam, and we specialize in hardscaping — patios, retaining walls, decks, fences, and driveways built to handle our wet Pacific Northwest winters without cutting corners.

Landscaping and garden design round out the picture, but it's the construction underneath — proper drainage, base prep, and materials chosen for our climate — that makes an outdoor space actually last. From the first sketch to the final walkthrough, we guide you through every step so the process feels simple, not overwhelming.

How It Started

Square Yards Landscaping started in 2019. We decided to focus on our passion — creating outdoor spaces that are as usable as they are beautiful. We spent our first couple of years based in New Westminster, building a reputation one patio and retaining wall at a time, before moving into the Tri-Cities, where we're based today.

Along the way, we learned that every property comes with its own set of problems to solve — a slope that swallows half the yard, a backyard that floods every spring, a driveway that's cracking apart, or simply a blank space nobody's figured out how to use. That's where we come in. We don't just build what looks good in a photo; we listen to what our clients actually need, then design and build spaces that solve those problems and work for the way they live. Whether that means a retaining wall that finally tames a slope, a patio built for entertaining, or a full outdoor overhaul, our goal is the same: turn an underused or frustrating property into one our clients are proud of and get real use out of.
